The Power Response Model
The Power Response Model is a content strategy framework developed by Anders Berendt Svendsen. It connects company goals, consumer experience, recognisable brand identity, content and channel choice. The 2027 edition updates the model for contemporary distribution and discovery.
Content people remember.
A response you can learn from.
A connected chain
from goal to response.
First published in 2014 and rebuilt as a 2027 edition, the model starts with the business rather than the publishing calendar. Decide what the brand should mean to people, understand the context in which they meet it and choose the response the content should support.
The result is a brief that connects brand building with commercial intent, while giving creative teams room to develop a distinctive idea.
- 01
Key company goals
Agree the brand perception, business objective and commercial measure the content should contribute to.
- 02
Consumer experiences
Use reviews, comments, searches, conversations and cultural context to understand what matters to the audience.
- 03
Identity repeat
Use recognisable visual and verbal assets consistently, while adapting the execution to the context.
- 04
Power content
Design content to attract attention, stimulate interest, encourage sharing and support a relevant response.
- 05
Media channels
Choose the channels and distribution approach that fit the audience, idea and objective.
The content sequence
Earn attention.
Make the next step matter.
- 01
Attract
Build an opening that fits the platform and the audience’s context or question.
- 02
Stimulate
Give people a reason to keep watching, reading or exploring. Put the product into a relevant story.
- 03
Share
Make the idea useful, recognisable or interesting enough to pass on. Sharing is a possibility to design for, not a promised outcome.
- 04
Respond
Choose a clear next step that fits the funnel stage: explore, save, follow, enquire or buy.
Recognisable across contexts
Repeat the identity.
Keep the execution relevant.
Brand identity includes colours, typography, sound, people, language and behaviour. Repeating these cues helps connect different pieces of content to the same brand. The values should be visible in the substance of the work, alongside the logo.
Audience context changes the execution. A short-form video, an in-depth explanation and a product comparison serve different situations. The model asks what people are trying to understand and how the brand can be useful there.
AI can assist with research synthesis and variations. Clear brand rules and human review help keep that work relevant, accurate and recognisable.
| Channel | Potential role |
|---|---|
| Short-form video | Explore openings, ideas and cultural relevance. |
| Creators | Show the product in real life through a credible individual perspective. |
| Search and AI-assisted discovery | Answer relevant questions with accessible guides, explanations and comparisons. |
| YouTube and podcasts | Provide depth and develop a more complete explanation. |
| Communities and private sharing | Create material people find useful to discuss or pass on. |
| Paid media | Distribute and test relevant creative against agreed objectives. |
Agree how the work
will be evaluated.
Choose the business measure before launch. Depending on the objective, that could include new-customer revenue, retention, acquisition efficiency or evidence from a lift test. Attention and engagement help explain the response but do not independently establish incremental revenue.
Organic response can inform paid creative, but the two environments differ. A strong organic post is a useful hypothesis for a paid test rather than proof that the advertisement will perform.
The practical output is a content direction: audience insights, brand guardrails, a response objective, channel roles and a measurement plan. Precision Creative Engine can then turn that direction into a cycle of briefs and tests.
